The Delegation of the European Union in Skopje in cooperation with Reactor – Research in Action, with the technical support from the EU TACSO 3, invites you to an online consultation on the topic: “EU Gender Action Plan III (GAP III) and a Country Level Implementation Plan (CLIP) “, which will be held on 22 June , (Tuesday) at 15:00 hrs, on Zoom.

GAP III is a key document for promoting gender equality in the EU’s external actions (for the period 2021-2025) and prioritizes the promotion of gender equality in all external policies and activities. This document offers guidelines for furthering gender equality through the work of all stakeholders in society and calls on the institutions to outline transparently the results of their compliance with GAP III and to serve as an example. Furthermore, the Country Level Implementation Plan is prepared by the Delegation of the European Union in order to guide the implementation of GAP III. This plan, to be finalized by the end of July 2021, is based on a previously established country gender profile and additional gender analyzes identifying key issues of interest, as well as a comprehensive consultation process with all relevant stakeholders in the country, including civil society.

This online consultation aims to briefly introduce the audience to the content of GAP III, its direct link to IPA III and the Country Level Implementation Plan and to provide specific information on CSOs’ views on the following questions:

  • Which gender inequalities in North Macedonia, related to the goals of GAP III, are key to take into account, i.e. what should be the EU priorities in addressing gender issues in the country?
  • What opportunities exist for civil society involvement in the implementation of GAP III, including the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of GAP III related programs?
  • In which areas do women CSOs and organizations focused on promoting gender equality need the most support.

As part of the consultation, the civil society organizations should provide their input on the priorities for our country in relation to the thematic areas in GAP III and within the specific area in which they operate. The consultation will be attended by representatives of the EU Delegation in Skopje and representatives of civil society organizations from the country. We will provide you with the full agenda after the application process is completed, together with the event link.
