First meeting of EU Technical Assistance Program for Van CSOs organised on 11-12 October 2012 in Van.

TACSO and European Delegation to Turkey, initiated EU Technical Assistance Program for Van CSOs in post disaster process, based on missions to Van in March and May 2012 where meetings were organized with Van CSO representatives.

The main purpose of the TA Program is to support Van CSOs to be actively involved in decision-making processes during the post-disaster reconstruction and rehabilitation period; in particular supporting CSOs in designing and coordinating joint actions, developing longer-term strategic planning for advocacy actions and enhancing dialogue with decision makers.

First meeting of the EU Technical Assistance Program for Van CSOs was organized on 11-12 October 2012 in Van with participation of nearly 40 CSO representatives. The outputs of the workshop will be baseline for designing further steps of the TA Program.
