Albania is unusual in not requiring a minimum endowment for the registration of foundations, considerably easing their establishment.

The aim of the study is to provide a comprehensive assessment of civil society in Albania and the environment that it works in, including its strengths and weaknesses, and its impacts to date and the challenges it faces to its further development.
