On behalf of the European Commission, DG NEAR, the EU TACSO 3 project is conducting the third Assessment against the DG NEAR Guidelines for EU Support to Civil Society in the Western Balkans and Turkey 2021–2027. We are kindly asking you to complete the annual CSO survey!

This survey for the 2024 Assessment is one of the largest and most comprehensive surveys of civil society organisations (CSOs) in the region this year. The survey findings will provide a detailed picture of the changes and challenges taking place in civil society since the baseline in 2021. The findings help the EU and other major policy makers better understand the situation and respond through improved policies and funding mechanisms.

Civil society’s role is more important than ever, so your participation is critical to ensuring that the findings reflect the voices and experiences of CSOs across the Western Balkans and Türkiye.

This survey is designed to be user-friendly and takes approximately 25 minutes to complete. There are four sections of mostly closed-ended questions. If necessary, you can save your progress and return to complete the survey later from the same device.

The survey is available in English and all languages of the Western Balkans and Türkiye. Simply select your preferred language at the top right-hand corner under ‘ENGLISH’ when you open the link.
