EU TACSO 3 is organising the first online Regional Meet-up event that will take place between 2-4 June, 2020. The event will consist of three half-day sessions taking place from 14.00 to 17.00 hrs CET each day. The event is targeted to civil society organisations (CSOs) from the Western Balkans and Turkey that are active in response to COVID-19.
This regional meet-up event is implemented as a part of the mitigation measures by EU TACSO 3 project during COVID-19 pandemic as integral part of the Capacity Development and People to People (P2P) Programme.
This event will enable CSOs to learn about emergency response in general, exchange experiences and identify needs that could be addressed by EU TACSO 3 or other supporters of the work of civil society. The working language of the event is English.
Our special guests Mia Vukojevic, an expert in emergency response will share her global experience in emergency response on the first day of the event to set the ground for the discussion. Jelena Andelic, Program Manager in IRIS Network, and Rana Cotan, Secretary General at TUSEV, will present researches on the impact of COVID-19 to civil society in the Western Balkans and Turkey on the second day of the event, to instigate mapping of key needs together with CSOs that will share their experiences. The discussion will be facilitated to define and plan actions for a more effective response to the current crisis. Finally, the event will be closed with the presentation of the EU TACSO 3 P2P On-demand Programme by Emina Nuredinoska, P2P Manager, as an opportunity for CSOs to get support in capacity development and networking.
The event will be facilitated by Tanja Bjelanovic, EU TACSO 3 Capacity Building expert.
