Dear reader,
We are happy to present to you the third issue of our project Newsletter! The Newsletter has a simple mission – to inform the public about our work and ongoing activities.
The current issue covers activities from October to December 2020. The period was pawed with challenges of working and supporting civil society across the Western Balkans and Turkey on-line. But it was also one of a new sense of optimism that even in constrained conditions, civil society is ready to face any obstacle and challenge. We like to think, that our project and its activities also contributed to these.
In the period, EU TACSO 3 organized 5 training programmes for 130 representatives of CSOs on topics spanning from mentoring and coaching, research in evidence-based advocacy, volunteerism, information activism and emergency response to complex humanitarian crisis that will help CSOs continue and strengthen their work.
To help European Commission support civil society in a strategic and need-based way, EU TACSO 3 launched two consultation processes on its behalf: consultation on the new EU Civil Society Guidelines for the period 2021-2027 and consultation on Civil Society Facility and Media Programme in Kosovo* 2021-2023.
Our project has also continued to demonstrate, through publishing stories of CSOs actual work and supporting exchange events organized by CSOs via the P2P On-demand Programme, that no matter whether big or small, capacitated or less, CSOs are one of the most vibrant fabrics of our societies and their continued support is essential for countries to develop and respond to the unprecedented challenges of our time.
We invite you to visit our website, social media available at the links provided at the end of the Newsletter frequently to stay informed of new opportunities and useful information.
Wishing you a happy and successful New Year 2021,
On behalf of the EU TACSO 3 team
Tanja Hafner Ademi
