General information: The Technical Assistance to Civil Society Organizations (CSO) in Western Balkans and Turkey (EU TACSO 3) project main goal is to strengthen the capacity CSOs to actively take part in the democratic processes and to stimulate an enabling environment for civil society and pluralistic media development. The EU TACSO 3 has started in January 2019 and will last until December 17, 2021. The project is implemented by the consortium of GDSI Limited and LDK Consultants.
Scope of work: The key purpose of the Country Coordinator (CC) position is to make sure that the project activities in each of the seven IPA Beneficiaries are coherent with relevant actions of the Civil Society Facility (CSF) and other civil society development initiatives, serving thus to the overall EU TACSO 3 project effectiveness. The Country Coordinator will be responsible for facilitation, organisation and implementation of project activities relevant to their home country. He/she will closely cooperate with the core EU TACSO 3 team of senior experts, of which he/she will be part, to coordinate the activities of EU TACSO 3 at national level with the EU-funded National Resource Centre (NRC), the EUD and other stakeholders.
The tasks will include a range of tailor-made activities in each Beneficiary:
- Monitor the civil society situation and provide content-based input to the EU TACSO 3 core team as relevant for the assessment of the state of civil society in home country and planning of appropriate interventions;
- Stakeholder analysis and management at the national level relevant for the civil society development;
- Support to the implementation, visibility and reporting during the EU TACSO 3 project realisation.
Time input requested:
Six months initial-based contract with possibility of extension until the EU TACSO 3 project until mid-December 2021.
Location:
Each County Coordinator will be based in their home country (IPA Beneficiary) and provided with the appropriate working space.
